Independence Day 2014

As has become tradition we headed up to Crouch, Idaho, to my parents' cabin for the 4th. It was a blast, probably the most fun I've ever had there, and best of all everyone in the family was there this year! Also this little man was way easier to travel with:

There was minimal crying on the 7 hour drive, and he slept like an angel! Those sorta things pretty much make or break a trip traveling with littles.

We swam in the hot tub.

Played in the Razer

Ate tons of amazing food

Family photo!

This little guy is seriously a bottomless pit. I just wonder where puts it all in that skinny little body?

The cousins had some serious fun together. We discovered Eli likes to wrestle as much as Miles and Tommy and can hold his own with them in the ring.

Miles got to stay up way past his bed time for fire works

Check out the face on that boy. It was "OOOH!" and "AHH!" and bouncing around with excitement with each firework. I love his enthusiasm for the simple pleasures in life.

Relaxing on the back patio

The "Shoes"

Tina and her boyfriend John. He was brave to join the fam for a weekend at the cabin, and he didn't even complain that he had to sleep on the living room floor where the kids woke him up promptly at 6 am each day. Plus he is an amazing cook! I would say he's a keeper, Tina...

Miles seriously loves his aunts. He basically wants nothing to do with me when they're around.

And of course we played at the beach along the river. Tommy thinks he is a fish and kept trying to dive in the water in spite of the water being quite cold. I thought Miles was wildly adventurous until Tommy became mobile! It's like they're in a competition to see who can give me a heart attack first!

Sweet little Eli was happy to hang in the sand. It is so fun to see the different personalities of these little boys!

We'll be back next summer, maybe in a tent out in front of the cabin! The Johnson clan just keeps growing!
