Last week Miles, Mother, and I went to visit Auntie Tina in California for a quick trip. We had beautiful weather, nice enough for the beach even. Miles LOVED it. He loved being free to just roam every where in the sand unrestricted. He also absolutely loved the water. It was too cold to let him get in all the way, but I think if I hadn't stopped him he would have jumped right in. It was a big change from when we went to the beach in May and he cried when the cold waves lapped over his feet.

Beautiful Gramma J. with Miles.

Tina also took us to Griffith park so Miles could ride the ponies and we could see the view. Miles was hilarious to watch on the pony--he totally did not understand what was going on. The pony had a strap on his saddle so Miles couldn't fall off, and it was a good thing because Miles absolutely did not understand he should hold on--his hands were suspended in the air for the whole ride. He just sat there with his arms out and a sort of confused look on his face while the pony made laps.

  1. So cute! Have Benjamin tell you his story about riding the ponies at Fort Wayne Zoo circa 1985 Left to his own devices, he rolled it on the far side of the track. Dad went to his rescue, zoo attendant NOT happy! We left quickly....
